Makecal 0.2

David A. Harding

A couple months ago I blogged about the calendar pages I created so I could use Tom Limoncelli's time management system. I've made a couple changes:

  1. Smaller margins and for more writing space
  2. The todo section is always on the outside of the page—I found it difficult to write on the interior of the page in my binder. I call these flipped pages

Also, after receiving a bug report from someone who found my project after learning of Limoncelli's book, I decided to put up a project page. It's basic at the moment, but it's a start. On the project page, you can see a sample of the flipped pages, grab a copy of the updated 2006 calendar, or grab a copy of the updated source.

I've printed my pages for Febuary, but before I print my pages for March I hope to finish the plugable template engine so I can play with including information from tools besides calendar. This should make the code better self-documenting. Also, I'm thinking about a different page style for Saturday and Sunday.

Feedback is, as always, welcome: contact me. A scanned image of your PAA filler with a description of what you think are the coolest features is particularly welcome.

Update 18 March 2007: I recently discontiued Makecal because I stopped using it. The code is still available and I'll answer any questions you may have. My appologies to anyone who used makecal.
