Herding Geeks

David A. Harding

You can lead geeks to a new thing, but you can't make them use it.

Case #1: nano to vi
No thanks. nano is easier to use, and that means it's better.

Case #3: RPM to Apt
No thanks. My distro is better than yours, and my distro uses RPM.

Case #2: vi to emacs
No thanks. vi has fewer features, and that means it's better.

Case #4: Books to Girlfriend or Boyfriend
No thanks. I like books aplenty, and it's easier to keep flippin' pages.
